We fully recognize that while sending your child to a private school is an investment in their future it is very much a financial sacrifice. We are asked all the time what sets Jefferson Christian Academy apart from other schools. In our opinion, there are many things that set a small Christian school like JCA apart. Other than being a high-achieving school, the major difference is the Christian environment. The teachers and staff at JCA are committed and loving Christians who believe in the mission of the school making us not only a Christian school in name but also in practice, action and belief.
We know that God is in full control and believe that that should be taught in all things; science, math, music, art, athletics and every other aspect of a students life. We place God at the center of all we do and offer our students a Christian worldview in all subjects, every day. “With God’s guidance, Jefferson Christian Academy will cultivate and maintain an environment where the student is nurtured and challenged to realize his/her potential in spiritual maturity, academic attainment, athletic achievement and social and emotional development.”
In accordance with our mission, we have daily Bible classes for K4-12th grade and daily chapel services for K4-12th grade. We have a full time Campus Minister, overseeing our Spiritual program to include Bible classes and daily chapel services. Here at JCA, we feel strongly that God must be included in all aspects of education and our teachers are encouraged to teach the curriculum from a Biblical perspective. Our hope and goal is to form a partnership between the home and school, where we help to reinforce Christian values at school that are being taught in the home.
In a time where many public schools are decreasing staff and increasing class sizes, we have worked hard at JCA to keep the size of our classes as low as possible. Our average elementary class size for the 2022 school year is 14 and 19 in the middle and high school. This smaller class size allows for more one-on-one attention, less discipline problems and a safer environment.
We work hard to have a safe welcoming environment that allows learning to take place with minimal distractions. Whether it's a faculty or staff member, board member, or administrator, we all aim to share his love at all times regardless of the circumstance.
Let us be the Christian education that you have been seeking.
